FAQ

  • What Are The Prices ?
We do not have a set price on every bird because it is impossible to give a price to a canary without knowing the quality. You pay for the quality not the quantity, so depending on what is available we give a fair price on what the mutation is. I can give a range number from as low as $125 but upwards to $250 per bird. We send you the ring band numbers of the birds being sent to you to verify that these are the birds agreed on purchase, they will be told if they are male or female if needed to help you pair them if you are breeding or just curious to know.
  • What Should I Have Prepared Once The Canaries Come In ?
You should have food in their trays ready to eat, baths needed to clean themselves off as they will be stressed from their journey, and removed if the bath water is dirty and give it clean water if necessary to continue their baths. Do not stare or hold the bird for long periods of time as they might go through a molt which is not ideal. Let them settle down into their new location, give them non flavored electrolyte water with distilled water 60/40 in order to replenish them. As the says go by you'll see them active, singing and adapt to their environments you can now safely do what you may if it means breeding pair them up, if it is just a single bird to have you can enjoy them as fine artistry. If the canaries are red keep in mind you'll need to color feed them in order to maintain their color if not the color will dull overtime especially if they are molting. Use egg food and the red colorant of your choice to feed them to maintain their vibrant color.
  • What Is The Best Way To Contact Us ?
It is best via email as we are very busy.. We will respond as soon as we can, the Email is ARAviaries@gmail.com
  • How Do You Ship Canaries ?
We use two methods of shipping, the first method is USPS where we ship the canaries in a certified box for live animals noting that it must be face a certain position to not be harmed, having food and veggies that contain juices as water can be contaminated on the journey there giving potential sickness. We cannot guarantee live arrival since we do not know how the company will be taking care of the birds once it leaves our hands. You the consumer are taking the risk of what will happen if you choose this method. The second method is Delta Airlines in which we can guarantee live arrival as it will be within a few hours rather than days in a certified box accepted by the Delta Cargo Airlines guidelines. It will cost more and prices will vary by the distance and the cost of the box to send it to you.
  • What Canaries Do You Breed ?
We breed a wide range of mutations but mostly melanic red mosaics. We tend to switch mutations sometimes so we may have it one year but not the next. Since there are soo many mutations the goal is to breed them all to have a better understanding. Please inquiry with us to see what we have available
